Akizuki Sota was entangled with unprecedented anxiety and fear.
He had planned to spend his summer vacation from university on a small remote island doing his hobby of solo camping, but he never expected such a situation to occur.
The ship Sota boarded was currently being struck by a storm. It was a small boat that could be mistaken for a fishing boat. The small hull was being battered by huge waves and blown by violent winds, putting it in a dangerous state where it could capsize at any moment.
(This ia bad...! Really, Really bad...!)
Even someone who wasn't a sailor could tell that the ship was going to sink. Sota, who was not familiar with the sea, couldn't help but feel the intuition that this was the case. The crew's screaming, which showed no composure, also contributed to his anxiety.
Sota stuck his canine teeth into his trembling arms, otherwise he would feel like he was going crazy.
"Mom... Dad...! Haruka...!"
Memories rushed into his mind like a slide show, and the last thing that passed through his mind was the image of his parents and his younger sister.
His heart was shrinking, and tears were starting to well up in his eyes.
However, his deep and sincere wish not to die could not be granted.
The next moment, a huge wave that covered Sota entire field of vision swallowed the ship.
"Uwaaahhh!!"
There was a powerful impact. The cold rush of seawater that pierced his skin easily carried away Sota's body.
(I'm... gonna die...!)
The last thing he saw was the leaden storm and several pillars of lightning.
Sota consciousness was easily relinquished after that, and he was thrown into the stormy sea, which turned into a living hell.
◇
"Uhh... Uhh... "
Souta consciousness gradually returned to him.
In the midst of his flickering vision, he sat up to feel a gentle warm sunshine.
"Am I... alive?"
Souta slowly lifted his upper body and looked around.
The peaceful rippling waves that take away your breath.
The refreshing blue sky opposite to the storm.
The white sandy beach that seemed to go on forever.
Though he still didn't know the scale of this land, it seemed that he had drifted to some shore... even Souta, who had not yet fully regained his thought process, understood this.
As far as he could see, it seemed too large to be just an island, but for the time being, Souta assumed this was an uninhabited island. The reason being that if he had drifted on a crowded island, he would have made it there, and because there was a stretch of green that almost looked like a tropical rainforest over the land.
He couldn't believe anyone could live here.
('So I have drifted to an uninhabited island. ...I was supposed to have a fun time camping alone, but now I'm going to have to engage in life-threatening survival...')
But it was better than being dead.
Living through that storm was practically a miracle.
Though his smartphone, which he had been twisting into his pocket, was unfortunately out of reception, it couldn't be helped.
While thanking his lucky stars he was alive, Souta's heart was filled with unease and impatience.
There was no one to rely on, nor any means of communication.
All he had was his survival knowledge and his body, which he had moderately trained.
However, Souta glared at the sun hovering in the blue sky.
"I will definitely survive and return."
The survival game, relying on being the last man standing, had just begun.
Souta whipped his aching body and stood up, dragging his soaked clothing behind him.
◇
"This is...!"
Souta facial expression was like a blooming sunflower.
After walking along the coast for a while, looking for anything, he found something familiar.
A giant, bright red sack that contained all of Souta camping equipment.
He had bought it in bright red so he wouldn't mistake someone else's for his.
Souta retrieved it with a feeling like he was jumping up and down.
His camping equipment, such as a tent, sleeping bag, knife, lighter, and other items that were essential for survival, were still functioning despite the storm. There was also a simple first aid kit, and he felt proud of his thorough preparation.
"What luck...! It's like finding a needle in a haystack!"
Even though it might seem strange, it was inevitable that Souta felt affection for it in these circumstances.
Souta put the sack on his back and firmly decided to enter the forest.
Unfortunately, the sack only contained a small amount of food and drink. He had to find a new food source and fresh water.
Souta exhaled shallowly and took a step into the green forest.
◇
Walking in the forest for 30 minutes.
Souta noticed something strange.
"This might not be Japan."
It was a vague and absurd speculation, but Souta couldn't help but think that way.
First, the tree tops were terrifyingly tall.Even when looking up, the tops were barely visible, and each trunk was astonishingly thick.
It was as if Jomon Sugi in Yakushima... no, it was like even bigger giant trees standing in abundance.
In addition, there were unfamiliar plants and flowers growing everywhere that Souta had never seen before.
Souta had little knowledge about plants, but there wasn't a single one that he recognized from his own knowledge.
It was possible that they were popular plants overseas that weren't included in the shallow Japanese guidebooks that Souta had seen. However, instead of resembling a tropical rainforest like the Amazon, it gave him the impression of an elf forest that would appear in a fantasy RPG... something like that.
"What on earth is going on...?"
Souta murmured to himself, taking a sip from his water bottle.
He couldn't identify which plants and fruits were safe to eat. Souta tried to calm his anxious feeling and took a deep breath.
Then, he listened closely, trying to discern the sound of water.
(Prioritize finding water that is safe to drink before food...)
Food could wait.
If it was a forest, it wouldn't be strange to find a water source somewhere.
And then, Souta noticed something.
"...What is it?"
He noticed a "voice."
A low, groaning woman's voice.
It wasn't far away. Someone was there.
"A person...!?"
Souta jumped up in surprise, not even trying to hide it.
There was a person. That alone warmed his heart.
Souta hurried towards the source of the voice.
"Ugh..."
Underneath a particularly large tree root, a stunningly beautiful woman was lying down.
She wasn't Japanese. She was a woman from another country.
Her skin was like white snow, and she had golden hair that reached her waist.
Her well-proportioned beauty was evident even with her eyes closed and a furrowed brow as if she was having a nightmare.
She seemed to be in her late twenties. At least, she appeared older than Souta.
However, what attracted Souta attention more than anything was not the woman appearance.
"Is that... armor?"
In this modern age, you wouldn't come across Western-style armor unless it was a very special occasion.
And yet, this beautiful woman was wearing it perfectly. There was no trace of the cheapness of cosplay costumes.
Even Souta, an amateur, could tell that it was a work that combined functional beauty and the intricacy of a craftsman.
However, there was no time to be amused by such things.
The beautiful woman was bleeding from the head and had scratches all over her body. She was unconscious and sweating lightly on her forehead, indicating that she might be running a high fever.
"Hey! Are you alright?"
"Ugh..."
No matter how much he called out or shook her, there was no change in her response.
When Souta touched her forehead, it was indeed burning hot. Not only the external injuries but also the high fever was severe.
Souta looked around anxiously and happened to find what he was looking for.
Between the rocks, there was a small cave. It would provide shelter from the rain and wind.
"It doesn't seem like there's time to leisurely set up a tent... Alright!"
Souta lifted the beautiful woman and swiftly carried her there.
He spread out a sleeping bag on top of the fallen leaves and laid her down.
He handled the thin glass delicately so as not to cause any further impact.
Next was treating her injuries.
Luckily, there was a first aid kit in his backpack.
He should be able to administer simple first aid.
"However... well, there's no choice but to do it."
The problem lies in the silver armor that the beautiful woman is wearing.
Of course, Souta had never worn or seen armor being put on before.
But it wouldn't be wise to leave the armor on in this condition.
Souta struggled to carefully remove the gauntlets and greaves, and when he took off the breastplate... uncontrollably, a sound came out. It just happened.
"Ohhh..."
It was because her voluptuous breasts, which had been pressed by the armor, jiggled.
Of course, she was wearing clothes underneath, but her breasts were so big that they couldn't be contained within Souta's hands.
The softly curving hills were more than enough to bewilder Souta, who had never known a woman.
Removing the armor intensified the sweet, sweaty scent of the beautiful woman in the vicinity.
Heat began to rise in Souta lower body, despite his best efforts.
...But, as a good person, he shook his head and drove away such thoughts.
"What the hell am I doing? She's injured. Don't think about unnecessary things while performing medical treatment."
While feeling exasperated with his own virginity, Souta continued with the treatment.
◇
The treatment may not be perfect, but Souta wants to believe he did a good job as an amateur.
He removed the armor, cleaned the wound with clean drinking water, and carefully applied ointment.
He applied bandages and dressings, and also changed her clothes to one of Souta spare shirts. (In doing so, he exposed the naked body of the beautiful woman, but being the quintessential virgin, he closed his eyes and somehow succeeded in changing her clothes)
Now she is wrapped in a warm sleeping bag, and Souta found a small stream nearby - this was just pure luck - and is currently applying a cold cloth to the woman's forehead, replacing it several times.
"If this doesn't work, I have no other options left. There doesn't seem to be anyone nearby..."
The sun is already beginning to set.
It would be reckless to explore the forest any further.
There's nothing more he can do.
He considered setting up a tent, but fortunately, this cave doesn't have any wind.
It would be better to start a fire and keep warm during the night.
Souta skillfully lit a fire using a lighter and kindling, then sat down, exhausted from the day's events.
